urgent ! vray 2 SP1 (max2012) crashes all the time after week of no problems...

Hi, Chaos team..

i'm puzzled and anxious... i've a total of 20 renders to provide for tomorrow. i've made 10 renders all over the night (same scene, different cams), and all was running fine.
Then Vray started to crash while preparing objects / or building raycast accelerator...
After that, impossible to launch any render... max becomes light gray and crashes while preparing or building tree...

i've 12GB ram, max2012 fr and Vray SP2.

Of course i've reinstalled Vray, no luck.... restarted the PC, no luck...

Any (urgent) advice ?

Have you checked if it might be a hardware problem? Is your CPU or RAM overclocked?

Hi Vldo, hope you're fine. First of all, thanks for very fast answer.
yep i've switched back to safe bios, no changes.
Not sure if it's vray related, cause max crashes also when preparing geometry with scanline. everything works on small scenes, but big ones makes max crash.
i've launched my renders on my spair PC, same wonfig, works pretty fine (but very slow)
i 've unsinstalled/reinstalled max (cleaning the user\app\local\max2012 folder.
no luck again.

I just tried to reverse back to the beta 2.00.03 and.... it worked !! just like nothing never happend...
I really don't understand what's happening.
I'm finish my urgent work now on spair PC, then i'll try to switch back again to Vray 2 SP1 and tell you informed.

I got simmilar problems...

After a break from CGI I started new project jesterday in 2012 and crash crasch crasch like craazy when I got sp1 week b4 release date and then official all was fine during project.

ok seems i've found a way :
after several hours of searching what's wrong, remove oc, reinstall max/vray many times....
then i just uninstalled skype + HTC hero smartphone drivers and software (htc sync). then restarted the pc and try again : works fine !

Dadal, perhaps can you try to remove skype and try again ?
i tell you informed today after several renderings to be sure it's now stable.

Same problem here. After working fine, vray 2 for max 2012 now crashes a LOT : it always happens when it starts to calculate Lightcache.
Running windows 7 64, dual xeon x5650 12gb RAM.
