  • grown wistaria - any ideas ?

    Hi there,

a client wants a wall to be grown by wistaria.
Does anyone have an idea how to achieve a result like this ?

perhaps with an edited ivy generator model?
Please give me ideas, perhaps someone has already done something like this ?

    regards,
    Ingo

GrowFX (http://exlevel.com) would be perfect for this. It's not a free tool though and it would take some time to be able to use it properly (time which you most likely don't have now). But I can HIGHLY recommend getting GrowFx nonetheless.

Other than that Ivy Generator could be used to create the branches and then use particles or any of the scatter tools (Forest Pro, Multiscatter, etc.) to distribute the flowers. I guess that could work.

        x10 votes for IVY Generator!!!

I have already built one using this plugin.
It also has a Custom geometry rollout now where you can pick your own mesh for leaves & flowers.....that is awesome!
Although flowers may be better to proxy & scatter like JohnVK previously mentioned as they may end up taking too much ram as a collapsed mesh

        Hope this helps
