  • VFB going crazy in 3dsmax2012

    Hi there,

I have 3dsmax2012 installed with hotfix and sp1 updates. Vray 2.0

In all my scenes, in two different computers, i have lots of problems now with minimizing VFB. It either takes a long time to do it (around 5 secs when it should be instantly like before), and sometimes when scene is heavy or i click twice in minimize, it suddendly goes mad and starts minimizing and pop like there was no tomorrow, and there´s no way to stop it from consistently dropping and popping again....

Anyone had this problem too lately?

    Thanks.

yep. it happens to me, too. No mention on the AREA forum, so it might be a VRay thing.

In another thread someone suggests to disable the "progressive refinement" (i'm not sure that are the right words, anyway right click on the box under the Z coordinates) into the viewport settings with nitrous viewport driver.

This should help to solve the problem

        Thanks!

Im having some problems finding that setting to be disabled. :/
Where is that box under Z coordinates?

Searched in viewport configs and nitrous viewport driver (preferences) but it hasnt anything related to progressive refinement... :/

          I'm sorry..for my bad english.
As box I mean the "cube" icon used as trigger for the adaptive degradation.

Anyway, because images are powerful than words, I've attached a screenshot.

I hope you can solve your problem.

I'm having an issue after render, where I can't close the window or use max at all for about 2 or 3 minutes.
            Kind Regards,
            Morne

it seems the Color correction window is causing issues with the VFB. When the Color correction window is open the VFB window looses focus.

Well, the focus probably shifts to the color correction window itself. Will check if anything odd happens there, just in case.
