  • Normal viewport navigation while looking through vray cam?

    Hi,

Sorry for the very basic 3dsmax question, but is there anyway to roll/orbit/pan using normal mouse shortcuts (MMB, etc), while looking through a vray cam? It seems like looking through a camera locks all normal viewport navigation and limits you to using the camera navigation buttons in the lower right part of 3dsmax.

Softimage allows you to look through any camera or light and viewport navigate to position the camera. I just can't figure out how to do this in 3dsmax.

    Thanks,

    -Scott

Not that I know of. I use the vray exposure control (only in 2.0 I think) so I can do just that with a perspective view though.

If you've got a physical camera selected and do ctrl&c to create a camera, it just moves the physical camera to your position. Keep the cam on a selection set and it quickens it up a bit.
