  • Weird Colourful Speckles?

Hi Guys - I've started experimenting with HDRI's in my new projects, and I love the results I get with it, unfortunately though, I got these wierd splotches on the side of the building, can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

I didn't use the Light Dome > Texture as I wanted to have some harder shadows with the image and for some reason If I use a dome light the Sun Light doesn't work? Please see Image and settings.

Sorry but I had to black out the structures as they haven't been seen by client yet.

    Cheers Guys

have you tried to tick the light invisible? I can't see by myself as I'm still on 1.5, but here the dome light doesn't block the sun (doesn't matter whether it's invisible or not).

as long as the speckles go, you may not be able to get rid of them. they're usually totally dependent on the hdr map, in some cases vray can have a very hard time to sample them.. a dome light would help I guess, as it does a much more efficient sampling.

its old issue... If I'm not wrong its to do with material being 255 or so and causing errors. Try changing it to 254 or so and re rendering...
