weird DR + realflow

ive got a realflow mesh which i needed to add a smooth modifier to it. for some reason when using DR the main computer renders the mesh but the slave doesnt. when i turn off the smooth modifier its fine

Try using displacement maybe.

Use displacement in turbo smooth mode / set all settings to 0/subdivision mode/ and pick how many times u want it subdivided. It renders as fast as turb smooth anyway so no not rly...

im not talking about turbosmooth though. im talking about smooth. the realflow mesh is faceted so i need it smoothed

actually it seems that any modifier placed on it will cause the DR slave not to load the mesh files

umh naming of squence - location - 3ds max service packs etc etc all that same?

yeah. renders just fine on the master computers buckets. it just refuses to see it in the DR slave.

U didnt install realflow plugins on ur slave did u ?

no - u should but if it still dont work... U have 32/64 bit max? Maybe u install on 64 bit and dr is using 32 bit... ? :s

try to render directly on slave maybe u need to do 1 dummy render for it to fir up...

nope. eeeeverything i do by the book. all plugins the same. all max the same. all windows global settings the same. you tried it and it worked fine for you?

Havent used real flow for ages... Did u try to do render on slave as standalone 1st?
