  • VrayFlakesMTL freezes Light Cache

    Hello,
I have a scene here which constantly freezes the light cache. It just gets stuck at 75% of the calculation, no matter how low I put the settings. I narrowed it down to some parts with a material using the VrayFlakeMtl inside a VrayBlend. If I set the blend color to black or delete the FlakeMtl, it renders fine. Any thoughts on that?

    Regards

Can you get me the scene for this?

We recently found an issue where some 3ds Max textures would return an invalid color for the blend amount, causing very slow render times. Though not technically a V-Ray bug, we have implemented a work-around for the next update and it would be good to check if this is the issue in your case.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

          Dear Vlado,
I opened the old file with the freezing lightcache, hoping that the error is gone now after the update to Vray 2.20.02. Sadly thats not the case, the error still exists.
