  • VRayNormalsMap error

    Hi,

I am rendering to texture, and my VRayNormalsMap look strange. See attached image, each square has the size of a bucket. I am using projection mapping.

Any idea of what is giong on here?Click image for larger version

Looks like overlapping UVs, make sure they're welded and check the smoothing group applied. If that doesn't work I've had lots of problems when the edges of my UVs get too close to the edge of the UV box, try moving them away a bit.

Thanks! When you talk about overlapping UVs in this case, what exactly do you mean? The model itself has no overlapping UVs. Do you mean it has something to do with the projection mapping overlapping? Those strange squares show up all over the baked texture. The size of each square equals the size of a render bucket. It is like on of the DR-machines produce different normalmap than the others.
