  • Render history problem

Have some issues with render history. It's on a newly installed pc but I have never seen the problem before. Sometimes when I click save in the render history window, render one more time to save another one, the first is gone. Sometimes it's still there. But when I try to compare 2 renders it doesn't work at all and the frambuffer just stops working, doesn't matter what I do (change element, save, click on alpha, click in sRGB, click on curve) nothing happens. The frambuffer just stops working until the next time I render.

This is how it looks. As you can see the frambuffer fills up with the white line that splits the A and B buffer.

What options did you specify when you enabled the history (i.e. which folder and how much RAM)? Do you have any render elements in those images?

    Best regards,

I did not have any render element active. The folder was right in C: and I should have had alot of ram. 8 gig in that PC and I just rendered a bottle of coke..

When you entered the folder with the vfb history, you also had a field to enter the maximum size for the .vrimg files in that folder; what number did you enter (the default is 200 MB)? Also, can you try to put the vfb history folder somewhere else, f.e. in your local user temporary folder? Windows 7 does not like it when programs write directly to the root of the c:\ drive.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

I think I know what the problem is. I was not logged in as administrator and therefor I could probably not write to C: I figured it out when you said that windows 7 doesn't like writing to C:, thanks!
