Keep in mind that the VFB performs a sRGB display color correction, whereas PNG files store a gamma correction. There are minor, but obvious differences between the two, especially for relatively dark colors.

It is also handy to have three types of monitors to check your images, a low-end TN panel, a mid-end PVA panel and a high-end IPS panel.
