  • proxyobject all messed up - jagged edges

    Hi,

this is a strange one. Polyobject renders fine, but when converted to vray proxy it lookes like crap.

The object is made of several smaller objects attached to one single polyobject if that makes a difference.

I think I need to get the proxy to work if im gonna be able to render this project... lots of these very polyheavy shelves.

    any ideas?

found the answer. (like you always do 10 min after posting a question

the proxyobject workes like it should if I untick "export point cloud" in the proxysettings.

So problem solved for now, but I guess its a bug anyway. This is on max2012 and vray 2.0...

Nope, it's not a bug. Why did you turn on the point cloud in the first place?

      Best regards,
      Vlado

I thought the point cloud checkbox was there to allow the proxy to be shown as a point cloud in the viewport... (kinda lika Forest pack pro shows proxys as clouds. Would be a nice alternative to showing them as faces/boundingboxes etc).
After looking in the manual I realise this isnt the case. Guess i should have looked there first - sorry bout that
