  • VFB & Vray Log Slow

I vaguely remember seeing a topic about this, but couldn't find it when I searched; so I'm guessing it was on another forum.

I (and my colleagues) find the vray frame buffer to be very slow when I try to move, maximize/minimize it, along with the VrayLog window also. As this doesn't happen with any other plugins/windows within max I'm assuming it to be a VRay Issue?

It is a known issue; it was posted here a number of times and (perhaps unfortunately) the fix must come from Autodesk. Just today (talk about coincidence ) I learnt that they finally fixed it. However I do not know when the fix will be available and in what form and if it will be available for 3ds Max 2012 at all.

For the moment, it will be better if you turn off the progressive refinement option for the Nitrous viewport, or if you use DirectX/OpenGL viewports.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
