Vray (either 2.2 or earlier) + AutoGrass =>> viewport issues ?

Hi

I am almost sure this is Autograss fault and not Vray's but has anybody experienced the same problem:

When AutoGrass is in the scene - the viewport reponse to mouse scrolling is awfull - just one scroll (to zoom in or out) and the scene disappears !
I have had this one with vray 1.5 and now with 2.2 but when I delete the AutoGrass object - the viewport is fine.


My Workstation is quite powerrfull and the drivers are up to date.
(Windows 7 64bit + I7 8cores + GTX285 with 1.5 gigs + 24 gigs of system RAM, nVidia driver is 2.85.60)

Which 3ds Max version is this? Which viewport driver? Do you have the same issue with VRayFur?

I am using MAx Design 2011 with Direct X.
Haven't tried the VrayFur (my Pcs currently render so I cannot try it.)

(I will test it on #dsm max 2012 as well)

It has been like that with a variety of nVidia drivers.

Could be AutoGrass' fault ?

Sorry but I do not agree with you.
I have had good experience with them.
They are a small (married couple) company and I guess that they do thier best.
I did find out that if you email them using the mail that appears on their site - you will have to wait but when emailing them using the private mails - you will get a good response and so far the program served me well.
I even purchased a second license from them.
