I make a new interior scene with a curtain in it. Curtain has an override material. I need to look translucent and dont look transparent but with transparent shadow. So I used simple 2Sided material and VRayMtl AND override mtl in shadow slot with falloff in opacity to get a semitransparent shadow from curtain (see first attachment). And now for the problem: in second attachment you can see it. On left, shadow override is not used. Render is little bit dark, its ok I think, there is no light, but quality is very good even with medium GI settings. In the middle override is used. GI is bad, but with high or very high settings it can be good. BUT ON THE RIGHT, detail enhancement in IRR and retrace in LC are used. What is this, what is the white dots everywhere? And rendering was 7x slower (I think becose of AA). I tried super mega hyper very high GI, but it didnt help, white dots still everywhere. And without DE and RT, GI is not as good as it could be. Mainly in night scene is GI pretty bad and DE and RT is really needed. So where is the problem, why this white dots?
I never use shadow override, even overridemtl used only once or twice, so never happen anything like this, white dots everywhere. If I disable shadow override, render is fine even with DE and RT, but GI is pretty bad I think and how I said, mainly in night scene.
I will be very pleased for any suggestion. Thanks.
