In the same scene as my previous velocity post, I have some point lights casting vray area shadows. When camera motionblur is off, the light/shadows are clearly defined, but with motionblur enabled, the lights become blurred beyond recognition.
The lights are parented to the object that the light is being shone on, which itself is moving at high speed through the scene. The camera is following the object at around the same speed, but with some differential motion.
It looks like the area light samples are being lost due to the motion of the object through world space.
Is this an expected behaviour? Are there any workarounds?
