    We have also the same problem with characters animated in messiah and rendered in 3dsmax 2012 via PontOven. We only get the motion Blur for the full frame, everthing less means no blur at all. We render with a special stereo version of the VrayDomecamera, but I get the same results with the Standard Cam and the Vray Physical Cam. We also tried interpolated framerates of the PointOven files with no success.
    Mental ray renders the blur correctly.

    Has this been looked into? If I can help with a scene I will be happy to help. We are facing a huge amount of character renderings in the next time...

    /edit: Whoops, sorry. I did not notice this was in the Vray for maya thread. Would you mind moving this to the 3dsmax section?

    It would be best if you can get us a way to reproduce the problem, yes.

      Thank you for the quick answer, Vlado.
      We where investigating further and after some days we found the cause of this weird behaviour.

      It turned out the problem had nothing to do with Vray. Some Workstations of our external animation studio where running an unpatched version of messiah. Applying the latest patch fixed the problem and the motion blur of point oven geometry is rendered correctly now.
