  • Slow rendering with Camera Path

    Hi,
I have problem with render times with camera path option.
When I render without precalculating IRR maps (without camera path, without precalculating, just calculating LC and IRR for every single frame) I have good render times (about 2min/frame).
But when I render with camera path (like in this tutorial http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/200R...ials_anim2.htm), my render times are very huge (about 15-18min/frame!).
I have setup like in the tutorial.
    Any idea?

When you use the camera path option, vray calculates the irr map for the whole animation. So you need to render 1 frame of the animation, save the irr map and then change the mode from "single frame" to "from file" and specify the file you saved. Then you can render the whole animation.

Yes, I know, but there is some bug or something. My render times grow up every next frame. I canceled rendering when I had 1h 30min / frame.
      Any other ideas?

It would be best if you can get us a scene to vray@chaosgroup.com so that we can take a look at what's going on.

        Best regards,
