I can not reproduce this problem here. In addition to Vlado's question, can you tell me what is the version of V-Ray, are there any error messages. Also if possible a sample scene that reproduces the problem would be of great help.
Yes I do, but I am not sure that it is the specific IES file bacuase I have already had some cases where I solved such a crash by importing all but the lights.
I think that the problem lays within the Vray configuration (RPS) - Today I opened a file with no IES or regular lights and still got the crash - I opened it on a different machine and it opened.
When I changed the renderer to scanline and saved - I managed to open it on the "faulty" machine.
Could it be that the RPS has issues ?
I will send you the file + a RPS file that (maybe) caused the problem.
