  • Lightcache visible in refractive material

Ive recently pre-calculated the lightcache and irradiance maps for a (no object move) flythrough. I seem to be getting lightcache samples visible in the refractive material...everything else looks fine. I've had to put the pre-fliter to about 400 to get rid of these artifacts. Is this normal ? I thought the pre-filter should be 2-3 times the size of the sample size ?

400 still doesn't seem to be cutting the mustard. I've put it to 1000 now. The rest of the scene still looks fine with this set so high. Im just hoping it doesn't produce problems for the animation.

1000 is better but still not perfect. Surely there must be a better way of producing cleaner results.

One way around this is to enable the "retrace" option for the light cache; the other is to turn off the "use light cache for glossy rays" option.
