  • Crash upon render completion

    Hello,

    I'm having this issue with my files. I model in Solidworks, import STEP files using Npower translator, and use Vray/Phoenix to render and generate fluids all in 3Ds max.

    I used to use the STEP / npower / vray combo a few years ago without any issue. I only recently got back into the game (Last February) and got the latest versions of everything to start fresh, everything in the 64 bits version, so I can't say if the previous or 2 previous versions were stable compared to this one.

    My problem is that Vray frequently crashes after the last render bucket finished its job, it freezes and max tells me it has to shut down, with an unhandled error message in the Vray info window. It happened on a few different models. It's a bit disapointing, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?? It can be quite frustrating.

    Thanks!

    Can you get me a scene where I can reproduce this?

    Best regards,

      I'll pack something up to send you. I think I isolated it to be a map problem. Once I remove maps it works...

      The error message I get is error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Sending RenderEnd() to render objects Last marker is at ./src/globillummap.cpp, line 1449: Global IllumMap::buildLightMap(){1}
