Vray frame buffer crashes max

As of yesterday everytime i hover above the vfb, it crashes max.
First i thought it was my scene that caused the error but a complete new scene showed the same problems.
A colleague of mine is experiencing the same symptoms.

Does anybody have an idea?

Could you specify the 3DS Max and V-Ray versions you are using?

Also, how does it crash more exactly? While it's just sitting there? At the start of the rendering? When you move it around?

I'm using max design 2012 sp2 and the latest build of vray (2.20.03). It also happened with the previous version (2.10.01) on my colleague's computer.
It happens when i open max start-up VFB and just hover over the buttons on the bottom. I always use the sRGB button and that's where it first appeared. No it doesn't matter where you hover.

Do you get the 3ds Max CER dialog in that case?

Yes i get the CER everytime it crashes. It just exits max with no warning and then you get the CER.

Then the next time you get this, can you send me the 3dsmax_minidump.dmp file from your temporary folder (type %temp% as the path in Windows Explorer to get there) to vlado@chaosgroup.com ?
