now its quite late at night so it might just be me, but im having real problems the last 2 times i tried to use fog colour in the vray mtl. first time was doing some 1cm thick green glass in a scene scaled in metres, it was very hard to get a good result.
and now, im trying to do a river that fades out nicely into the depths.
i could swear it used to be really easy to tweak and set up, and i must have used it a hundred times. 5 mins of tweaking and youd be there.
now im just going a bit mental. its either solid black with a very slight fade at the edge, or a wishy washy grey throughout with no variance to it, or totally transparent. ive tried about 1 million combinations of fog colour (always very desaturated.. it is a river after all) , multiplier and bias, and nothing seems to work.
im finding i need colours just a few percent less than white, with multipliers of 0.001 or less to get a result other than almost solid black.. ive tried turning "fog system units scaling" on and off... doesnt seem to make any difference.
river is about 2 metres deep and 10 metres wide.
anyone got any suggestions?
