matte objects

Hi

I am having a problem with matte object. I cannot get rid of some kind of transparency. It is simple vray material applied. I have done some test with attached settings on simple scene and it works fine...I also replaced geometry with the other one and problem exist. I am sure that there must be some simple explanation that I am missing.

If the sidewalk is the matte surface. Try to set bigger plane for a this object instead.
It looks like the shadow of the building spreads further than the мatte geometry can cover.

Also, are you using a dome light for this, or just GI?

have you got background image turned on, just a guess
