If you are using 3ds Max 2012 or later, check the Realistic preview option for the VRayLightMtl material.

You can do it in two ways; one is to turn on the Realistic mode for all materials in the scene - click on the "Realistic" label in the viewport, select Materials > Realistic materials with maps. The other is to go to the material editor, click and hold the button that looks like a checker board ("Show Shaded Material in Viewport" or something like that); hold the button until it expands and choose the last version ("Show Realistic material in viewport")

          Best regards,
          Vlado

If VrayLightMtl is inside into a MultiSubObject Mtl the texture will not shown.

                It works fine here.
Which V-Ray version do you use?
                Best regards,

                  I'm sorry.
It works fine until the texture size is over the 8192px... no problem. I think it's not vray related.
