  • problem in Vray Activeshade visualization

    Hi Vlado,
I often see dark area in the Vraylight when use exponentian as color mapping. But if i save the render it is ok.
    How can i resolve this?

NB : this test is done with Cuda ( thanks for it!) but the same problem i have with cpu and OpenCl.

    regards.

It's because of V-Ray RT trying to compensate the 3ds Max display gamma so that the image looks the same as in the V-Ray VFB. There are two ways around this:

= Turn off the 3ds Max display gamma; or
= Set the V-Ray color mapping gamma to 1.0 and turn on the sRGB button in the V-Ray VFB.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

The option is for the V-Ray VFB, but V-Ray RT still looks at it and corrects the ActiveShade colors accordingly. Otherwise people complained that what they see in the ActiveShade view was not the same as what they saw in the V-Ray VFB.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
