I have popup starting vrlservice.exe on my new FPT

Failure reason: "A suitable WibuBox entry was not found (17)"

If you select the "Workstation" installation and leave the "Install WIBU-KEY drivers" option enabled in the installer, it will run the dongle installation automatically at the end of the installation process. It will be obvious that the dongle drivers are being installed. So I assume this didn't happen?

The driver installation is left in the folder [program files]\Chaos Group\V-Ray\3ds Max ... (the file is named WkRuntime64.exe or similar), in case you need to run it again.

dongle need to be plugged in on lic.server start .....

It is best to keep the dongle un-pluged during WIBU-KEY drivers installation and then plug it in before starting the License server.

I had this same issue - solved it through unplugging the dongle, downloading the latest WibuKey Runtime for Windows (wibu.com), and then plugging in and starting the server.
