Vray Bug or Max 2012's ?

When I try to modify a material -say its diffuse color - It will not get updated (not in the viewport and even not when rendered)- unless I re-open the scene

I cannot say it is with all parameters but I tried a standard material - which indeed got updated.

Is it a bug in Vray 2.30.01 ?

Is this on any scene or just a particular one? Also what is your material editor renderer set to?

It happened in 2 scenes I ahve been working on. Material Editoris set to Vray.
I installed the nightly 2.3001 - 21315 and as of the 5 minutes it is OK but I get the feeling it will "loosen up" I have 24 gigs of RAM on this PC so it shouldnt be a RAM problem. ( I guess)

We are also getting this but with 2013! Tried everything we can think of - different graphics drivers etc - but nothing has worked so far. We have had to restart the scene in Max2012 and haven't had the same thing happen yet. We are using vray 2.30.01 also. The scene works ok for a few minutes, but then we get the problem as described above. We have to restart the session to get it updating again. Vary, very painful.

(I can't believe I found this thread - its a difficult thing to troubleshoot and we aren't sure if it is vray or max specific)

Can I ask - are you doing any kind of file linking from Autocad?

I Installed a nightly version and as far as I remember - I did noty experience it yet.
other plugins also suffer from updating issues - and I am told it may be relateds to nitrous.
Could it be that the 3rd SP from ADESK is the cause ?

We are not using Nitrous to see if that helps. It hasn't.

Ok then; if any of you has more specific steps to reproduce the issue, please let me know. In general, we've spent quite a bit of time with 3ds Max 2013 but we haven't noticed such issues yet.
