  • VrayLightMtl within multi-sub material not visible to reflection or GI

I have a vraylightmtl that works fine when applied to the mesh directly, but if I place it in a multi-sub no longer emmits light or appears in reflections.
    Is this a known bug?
Sorry if this has been posted before.
    Many Thanks
    Patrick

The same problem appears to occur when using a vraylightmtl within a vrayblend material as base material.
    Many Thanks

Ah of course, it's my fault... I had direct illumination switched on. (although not sure why having direct illumination switched on should remove the material from lighting and reflections when embedded in a multi-sub or blend material)
      Many Thanks

Ran into this same issue - why no reflections when direct illumination switched on in a multi-sub? Isn't this a bug?

Is this fixed in a nightly build perhaps? I really need that right now...

                No, it's not implemented yet.

                Best regards,

This error also occurs in the render elements, like RawShadow, RawLighting etc, right? That is what I have here right now.

I'm not sure I follow; the original issue in the first post has nothing to do with render elements.

                    Best regards,
                    Vlado

When I put the light material inside a multisub, then the render elements get messed up, too. For example the RawShadow, Rawlighting etc.
Take a look at the image: The black parts of the screen is a vraylightmaterial directly applied to the screen, the grey part is a vraylightmaterial inside a multi-sub.
