  • Rendernodes not calculating GI correctly

    Max Design 2013
    Vray 2.30.01

When using DR, rendernode buckets render much darker than my host machine. GI method does not seem to make a difference. Even if I turn off DR, do NOT render final image, and save GI maps...when I turn DR back on and use the saved maps the rendernodes buckets are still darker.

All of my maps, including GI maps, are on mapped network drives that all the machines can and are accessing. I cannot seem to solve this problem.

    Any advice? Thanks.

You can check whether all the machines are set with identical gamma in the Max settings?
Also, enable "Check for missing files" option in case there are some textures, IES lights or light maps that the render nodes can not access.

Do you use "interpolation" in the materials ?

I turn them off always as it used to cause more or less what you described.
