  • Exposure change with a vray targeted cam when close to the target.

Please forgive me if this one has been covered in depth but I have a rather noticeable exposure change with the vray cam when using the target as it gets closer to the target. Id like to not have to animate the exposure. Is there a way to remove this effect with out just un-checking the exposure control or animating a value to try to compensate? More over Id love to understand the reason for this if its a physically correct effect i'm not familiar with

    Thanks so much.

    Hello anchovy

This effect is physically correct - you can see some examples here :
    http://www.vihon.com/Vihon_Calculato..._examples.html

Take a look at the images - and pay attention to the exposure when the FOV is changed.
Un-checking exposure control won't resolve this effect. You have to compensate FOV by adjusting the exposure.

I wonder if this effect only affects VrayCams internal exposure or also the other colormapping types of Vray.
If not you could just turn of exposure and use a linear or Reinhard tonemapping instead.

This only affects the internal exposure of the physical camera.
