Need help on Wifi and LAN network

Hi guys,

I have 2 PC's here. 1 of them needs to access the internet via a Belkin Network adapter connecting to a Netgear (192.168.1.1 / 255.255.255.0) router. Now my problem is I need PC1 and PC2 to run backburner, VRay DR over LAN. I connected the 2 together using a Crossover cable, and in Local Area Connection applied a network of 192.168.168.1 subnet 255.255.254.0 to both PC's. PC2 finds Back burner perfectly, but the problem is Backburner on PC1 keeps defaulting to the Wireless Router address. 192.168.1.1 and BB and VRay DR keeps throwing back errors.

Is there a way to Have a wireless connection and a LAN setup that backburner can use without interfering with the wireless connection?

Solved

PC1 Connects to Netgear Router Via Wifi Adapter for Internet using fixed 192.168.1.2, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.1

PC1 Local Area Connection using 'Patch Cable' using:
IP Address: 192.168.5.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gate: 192.168.5.1
DNS: 192.168.5.1
Backburner server looks for PC1 via automatic search 255.255.255.0 Finds 192.168.1.2 < I thought this would find 192.168.5.2?? Works anyway...

PC2
IP Address: 192.168.5.3
Everything else the same
Backburner server looks for PC1 via automatic search 255.255.255.0 Finds 192.168.5.2

Send one job through backburner, send one job through backburner with DR on job.

PC2 does not have internet access. Not sure how to make that happen. How this works with more than 2 PC's I don't know.

Obviously the best way to do this is via the netgear router but I am too far away from a Phone line in my temporary accommodation atm.
