  • DR slaves not finishing lightcache

When rendering using DR slaves are running at 100% cpu usage but suddenly don't join in rendering buckets anymore. Yesterday this all worked fine. Using brute force+lightcache so it seems stuck at lightcache. But even the faster renderslaves that normally finish lightcache before my workstation is finished don't get to join with rendering buckets.
Restarting slaves and workstation hasn't made a difference.

Workstation itself renders fine, Vray messages window on workstation doesn't show anything weird either.

On all slaves the end of the vraylog.txt looks like this:

    Code:
    [2012/A/27|18:02:58] Compiling lights geometry.
    [2012/A/27|18:02:58] Preparing ray server.

I've got a deadline tomorrow so i'm really getting desperate, any ideas are much appreciated!!

how about precalc the lightcache on your workstation, then just render from file for DR?
    Kind Regards,

Yeah that works, but I have to render 60 housing variations.
They are all layed out on a grid and I'm using a container for the surrounding, lighting, and camera etc that moves to all 60 positions on the grid to render it. Unfortunately I can't precalc and autosave lightcache for each frame separately.

I haven't had this problem before, it may have to do with the use of a container since I haven't used those before either. The weird thing is that sometimes it works, but more often the slaves seem to freeze (with 100% cpu) on lightcache stage.
