Yep it's lesson 10 but he's made mention that he's reworked the shader for the upcoming lesson 12.

Hey good job, vlado! Great improvement!

I'd just like to point out one thing: If you have several layers of translucent 2sided materials, and use the "Multiply by front diffuse" the obscured layer renders almost comepletely black. I'll include two renders - one with Multiply and one without. (I used valdo's file as a start, and used his materials set to 50% translucency. Changed the background to gray, to make the dark object show up better.)

I guess the multiplied material doesn't pick up the transmitted light in the same way (which maybe explains Peter's dark leaves?).

Sorry to casue further problems, but... you know, I only want vray to be as good as it can be.

So this was a bug, of course. Will be fixed for the next nightly/stable builds tomorrow.

This is for vray 2.4 or vray 3.0?
                Best regards,

It doesn't look like it, but it would be trivial to add it.

I realized that when 2 faces are close enough to each other then are treated as one face.

Is there any way I can control this effect? I mean - can I set minimal distance between faces?
