  • Backburner 2013 and get resolution from max

    Hi!

I have an issue where if I submit a job to backburner 2013 from max 2013 and vray 2.30.01 and uncheck "get resolution from max", backburner still use the resolution set in max. This also becomes a problem when using the VRayStereoscopic. The image is then rendered at double width but saved with the width set in max. I don't know if this a issue that I should report to autodesk or chaosgroup.

    Thanks!
    /Andy

Thanks for the pointer, will check it out, but there may be little that we can do about it.

      Thanks for the reply!

That's what i thought. This will be the 3th bug-report I send to Autodesk about backburner 2013. The first two will be fixed in the next service pack.

      Thanks again!

I just noticed that it is not just in Backburner. The problem is there when I render from Max as well. So I will wait to nag at Autodesk until you have tested it

Can you get me more specific reproduction steps or a scene? This works fine for me on a simple test when rendering inside 3ds Max.

            test.zip
Here is a simple file. The framebuffer is correct but check the saved file.

Thanks, will look into it. In the meantime, you can use the "Split render elements" option in the V-Ray VFB settings to write the final images.

              Best regards,
              Vlado

I'm trying that and it seams to work. Have you had time to look into it? I don't mean to rush you, but I have been in contact with Autodesk about a few other bugs and Product Update 6 is soon to be released and if this is a Autodesk problem I would like to send it to them as soon as possible.

                Have a great day!

We are still working on that.
