  • RT: Cant seem to get a portrait window

    Hi all

As the title says I can't seem to get a portrait window out of RT. Landscape works fine, but as soon as I try a portrait, best I get is a square window.

    Am I missing something?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

works fine here, where do you change the image aspect? I suppose you know it has its own settings (after switching to active shade inside the common tab)

      Works fine here too.
Could you inform us about the exact Vray and 3DSMax versions you are using?

      Thanks in advance.

hmmm ok apologies. Seems the window comes out square, but then I just have to pull the edges of the window to resize it. Strange however that I have to do that in the 1st place. It should just open up
        "fully"

In this case, I'm on Max 2013 with Update 5 and VRay RT 2.30.02 (CPU mode). Win 7 Pro 64bit
(Although when I look at the terminal window it says V-Ray RT server, version 2.20.02 for x64 build from May 3 2012, 02:59:48 )

So at one place (Render window) it says 2.30 and another (terminal window or dos window) it says 2.20
and it says V-Ray core version 2.00.01?

...and isnt opacity maps suppose to work? My billboard people with psd textures and opacity shows up without opacity (sorry if that is already mentioned somewhere, I don't usually use RT)

You should report this to Autodesk.

Opacity works in general, but I doubt that PSD textures will show up properly.
