I might be misunderstanding something, but I thought multimatte was supposed to antialias the matte using only the specified color channel. For instance, if I have a multimatte set to create Mat ID 1 as blue, then the object will be blue and the edges will be various shades of blue, but no red or green will be mixed in.
With Object IDs, I've used Multimattes for years and I've gotten clean pure channel results. However, right now I have a scene with material ID multimattes, and the mattes are not pure. I have red and yellow around the edges of the blue object and other pollution in the other R and G mattes too. The objects are not overlapping, so it's not related to that.
Is this working as intended?
