  • DR Spawner 2013 keeps relaunching 3dsmax (after it being terminated for some reason)

There seem to be some strange behaviour with my DR spawner for 2013. Once I launch it spaws a "Untitled" 3dsmax session which is terminated after ten or so seconds, then the spawner repeats the procedure. This behaviour happens both on my workstation and all the render slaves. I'm not entirely sure what is going on really, or how to approach this issue. DR spawner for 2012 worked fine. I've installed the latest 3dsmax 2013 hotfixes and there are no firewalls in between.

Can't figure it out on my own so I thin I'll need some help resolving this one

I had already disabled IPv6 on all my machines through the network dialogue, but I tried the fix "Disable IPv6" fix. There was no difference unfortunately, the problem still remain.

Was server/manager of "Backburner 2013 (or 2011 later)" lanuched?
Refer to the registry of Backburner 2011 later for VRaySpawner.

I previously ran Backburner 2008 because I found it less buggy than the latest versions. But I tried to install the latest Backburner 2013.0.2 and it appears that my issue went away after that. I had no idea DR Spawner was somehow dependant on BB. It's also good to know that Autodesk put back the -perserver command support to BB 2013.0.2, something that later versions of BB lacked for some reason. It was one of my favourite features of BB actually, and the reason why I have stuck to 2008 version until now. But I guess I can upgrade now

Thanks you so much for your help Flat!
