  • Invisible objects are ... visible !

    I all

I have a simple but annoying problem: proxy trees close to the camera are invisible (right click > Object Properties > Visible to camera ticked Off), but when I do the render, strange black spots show up ... note that they don't appear in the alpha channel (see the screenshots).

Anybody has an idea on how to fix it please ?

Thank you in advance, I really need your help

is it related to the vraytoon you have in there? does it still happen if you turn off vraytoon? if so you could try manually excluding the trees from the toon system.

Thank you for your answer super gnu but I don't use VRayToon in my scene. I rendered it using the "OvRide Mtl" option but even when I turn it off, the problem remains the same, see the screenshot:

I think these artifacts are linked to the "transparency levels" in the render settings.

What do you mean "transparency levels" ? I don't know these settings ...

I just saw it in the Global switches: "transparency levels" (never noticed it before ...). Here are my settings (default ones I think):
            Filter maps: On
            Filter maps for GI: Off
            Max transp. levels: 50
            TRansp. cutoff: 0,001

            Scene units are cm
            Trees are about 14m height
