Cannot distributed render 2011 scene with 2012 spawner

Hi,

I'm having a few issues that I've scoured the forum for and can't find a solution, so was hoping for a bit of expert guidance!

We have Max 2011 Vray 1.5 SP5 and 2012 Vray 2.30.01 installed on our machines, running backbunrer 2008.1.1

Prior to installing 2012 we had no issues with dr rendering in 2011.

We can dr render no problem with 2012, but since installing 2012 no jobs from 2011 will dr render, either through bb or locally. The weird thing is that all the slaves help with the imap calcualtion, but then when the image starts to render, memory usage goes through the roof and the frame eventually crashes.

I'm using the 2012 spawner as I understand this can supposedly handle 2011 jobs. I've tried a couple of different scenes and the same happens.

Please can someone shed some light on where I'm going wrong?

Hi Michael,

Please, note that you always have to use same V-Ray versions on all machines to do a proper DR.
