From a quick check in photoshop, the problem pixels are gone. I'm not even sure what they were to be honest, most likely an artifact brought in when merging the various exposures in photomatix.

Trixian - Hah! Hilarious. I am not a fan of that button. Very tricky indeed. Thank you for resolving this. Is clamping in VFB the same as clamping in VRay settings?
Peter - Thanks for the response. I didn't think it was an HDR issue but you are king of customer support! I used your skies on a totally different project recently and got 1st place in a arch. student comp. The jurors commented on the beautiful skies I went for a just-after-rain feel using 0743. It was perfect.
