  • Motion blur and lights, big problem

I'm trying to render a car scene but I've run into a problem with the headlights and taillights. When I render with motion blur on then lights render in the wrong spot. They end up trailing the car by a huge amount. Why is this happening?

Are you using the vray physical camera or a normal one? If it's normal motion blur try going into the render dialog and setting your motion blur interval center to 0 - also I don't know if vray lights will actually render with motion blur. You might need to use a small sphere with a vray light material to represent the bulb turned off to casting GI, and then use a light for the illumination on the road cast from your headlights.
