  • License Fetch Via VPN?

So I am logging into our network via VPN w/ Cisco AnyConnect.

The remote license server is running

I can see the license server and I can verify it locally by checking the status with the browser.

I can ping the license servers machine.

    The port is open.

    I cannot retrieve a license I keep getting a (-198 ) license error, originally it was a (-200).

    Any ideas?

Dude, seriously this is weird, can't say that I have ever run into this before, attached, I can render frames but I get no UI

I restarted max, I have refreshed the render UI, restarted max again, no difference, frames render but no vray UI.

That means that the UI is opened on some other machine. The licenses for rendering and UI are separate; the render license is free, but the UI license is checked out.

          Indeed it was! Thank you

Vlado, is there a list anywhere of general license errors codes, so that we at least do a minor troubleshoot before posting? I didn't see anything on Spot3d.

Maybe add this to the wish list. Verbose error messages. Error codes are only usefull for devs, not users. Why cant it just tell us in words what the error means?
