  • VRayVelocity + focal length animation

    Hi,

I can't find a way to ouput correct vectors in VRayVelocity RE when the camera's focal length is animated. Actually, focal length animation doesn't seem to be considered as motion: when it's the only thing that "moves" there is no data in motion vectors.
Is it normal? Can this be fixed?
I search a little bit, but it doesn't seem to bother anybody, so I may have missed something? (is anyone still using motion vectors? ^^)

    thanks,

    Paul.

It is normal; camera FOV animation is completely ignored in the velocity calculations. However, 3d motion blur will work fine (if you use the V-Ray physical camera).

    Can this be fixed?
No, unfortunately it's not an easy fix. I will make a note to look into it, but I don't know if/when it will be implemented.

    Best regards,
