    I thought for sure I had this working at one point. I have two cylinders both using VRayEnvironmentFog but one of them also has the mesh with a glass material. I was thinking that this had been working fine, am I smoking crack? Besides the noiseIt also looks like the volume component of the shadow gets lost.

      just tried to render the file & it got the same issues.
      I then tried to render it with the secondary rays bias set to .01 & it renders fine

      My guess as to what was going wrong is that the Fog and glass were using the same cylinder so it was creating a double face

          Is this expected behavior? Im seeing the reflection of the area light on the backside of a volume filled glass. I would think it would be absent or at least attenuated.

            Hello there,
            I am not sure if this is normal behavior or a bug , but I found a way to fix it.
            If you decrease fog distance value bellow 6cm , of if you increase Cutoff threshold value above 0.2 - this artifact is no longer visible.
