    I am using the VRayEdgesTex in my bump map slot, but the back side of my objects are rendering black. The front side is really nice, but doesn't work on the back sides of the elements.

    Try with "Fix dark glossy edges" (enabling this option will fix dark edges that some times appear on objects with glossy materials)... it could help
    (Sorry for my bad english)

      What rikou said - try the "Fix dark glossy edges" option. Or else, try the Phong BRDF model.
