  • differences when rendering with RT and Standard Vray

Is it normal that those two engines produce different results?
I wanted to setup materials and lights when workign with RT to get quicker preview but than after chnaging to Vray Advance, it looks totally different.

Problem is that I need to render ice cube with alpha channel so it can be used on different backgrounds. And I like the one that RT is producing but when rendeirng with stnadard Vray alpha is messing things up and highlights disappear and black reflections also.

Vlado if you saw this post I sent you scene file on your e-mail. Hope you could take a look and help.

Yes. We have tried to match the results as best as possible, but the code is after all completely different and some differences are unavoidable. Also some features are not supported on the GPU yet (like the alpha through refractions, which it seems you need).

The GPU renderer does not support alpha through refractions yet, unfortunately.

    Best regards,
