  • Weird pattern with Target Spot - VRayShadow

I'm having an issue with a Target Spot light that's causing a funky pattern to appear on my wall. Where do I begin to diagnose?

The wall has a VRaMtl applied with a diffuse color and a Noise Map (Threshold .2) applied to the Bump Map ( set to 13.0) to give some texture to the paint.

    Thanks!

    David,
It looks like there is some other problem in your scene. It looks like there is something causing some light errors.
Do you have any error messages in the vray log window when you render?

The only warning I get is "Light cache is used for glossy rays: it is recommended to turn on light cache retracing." I get that message often but generally ignore it. Either way, it doesn't seem to matter if I have it turned on or not. Same result.

I found the issue.... There was a V-Ray light inside of the track-light that I didn't know what there until I opened up V-Ray Light Lister. It was set to real bright and real orange. I turned it off and that fixed the issue.

          Thanks for you responses
