  • How can I get a flat opacity for 3D object?

    Hi all

I'm trying to add some opacity to 3D objects to make it seem flat (like billboards)

Putting a colour into the opacity slot doesnt work because you still read the thickness of the object as in parts where it's thicker or more dense, the opacity becomes less obvious.
Refraction sort of works if I set IOR to 1 and the colour to pure white, but then my objects completely go invisible! Set colout to 250,250,250 and you get same issue as with opacity

I also tried with a lightmtl and opacity, but again this doesnt work

I want the opacity to read the same everywhere in the objects
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

      Jip, that works thanks
Setting diffuse to black makes them darker than the scene. So I just stick self ilum on mid grey and multiplier 0.2 and switch of gi then that works great

      thanks for the link
