  • matte with colored shadows

    Hi,

When I'm using a matte the colors of my shadows gets really weird compared to a straight rendering.

I've made a test scene and this is how it looks when rendered, there is a blue dome light and a yellow spot light. The colors of the shadows are as I would expect.

This is the same as above except it was rendered on a white background and saved to png, then in photoshop I've added the same grey background, and now the shadows looks very wrong.

    Anyone???

Is the comping being done in 32 bits or 8/16? If its less than 32 then thats sort of normal... U cant reproduce render in 8/16 bits from passes.

It's 16 bit.. But i'm not reproducing a render using render elements, this is simple matte/shadow

        Hi Thomas,

I am not able to replicate this on my tests.
Would it be possible to see your scene and the problematic .PNG file?
I suppose that the alpha channel makes the differences in this case.
