  • Backburner 2013 & Vray DR under IPv6

We finally managed to update Max to version 2013 and Vray 2.4. After long battle out IT managed to setup the Backburner 2013 manager on our server (WinServer2008R2) with setting up the IPv6 on it and the whole network. Since he done this the Vray DR stopped. I found on the forum here people suggesting to stop the IPv6. But our IT said that he need it for our Exchange Server. Is anyone managed to setup the Backburner 2013 and Vray DR under IPv6?

    Many thanks in advance

V-Ray DR does not support IPv6 right now.

Good news. Finally fixed it with forcing windows to use IPv4 first. Installing the Microsoft fix ‘Prefer IPv4 over IPv6 ' http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2533454 did fix it. Backburner working, Vray DR working and the IT guy is happy with the Exchange Server.

      Happy end.

Very well then, good to know I thought there was a way to use IPv4 together with IPv6, but I've never done it myself...

If you did the above fix but still have issues with Backburner 2013:
Backburner 2013 that ships with max has bugs. Update to Backburner 2013.0.2 available here: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...linkID=9241178

You have to uninstall the old one before installing the new one
